Friday Night Lights: Philly Advances With Win Over Orlando

Idris Price had to be thrilled to beat his old team on Friday.

Price, who I also know as an assistant football coach at Darien (CT) High School, told me in April that he felt he was finally playing for a professional organization.

You can get that feeling, I guess, when you go from the Orlando Predators to the Philadelphia Soul. The Predators are one of the most successful franchises in league history, but Price says Jon Bon Jovi does everything first class.

Price, the All-Ironman Team member, and the Soul won its first-ever home playoff game, 41-26 over the Predators.

Philadelphia will travel and play the Georgia Force next, but you can read more about the Predators game at the Orlando Sentinel. And for some harsh criticism of Orlando head coach Jay Gruden, check out this ArenaFan piece by Adam Markowitz.

And here's the Philadelpha spin from ArenaFan's Jason Moyer.
